The K9 Odyssey Dog Trainer Apprenticeship Program is an immersive, hands-on opportunity to learn real-world dog training through guided mentorship with Keara Brown, founder and head trainer of K9 Odyssey.
This program is designed for aspiring trainers, handlers, and dedicated dog owners who want to understand communication, structure, and balanced training in a professional setting.
What You’ll Learn
- Clear, confident dog handling and communication
- The fundamentals of balanced training: motivation, structure, pressure, and release
- Proper use of tools such as the leash, prong collar, and slip leash
- Structured obedience including recall, place, heel, and engagement
- Observation and guided handling with real client dogs
No previous experience required—just a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for dogs.
What’s Included
- 8-week guided mentorship with K9 Odyssey
- 1–2 training days per week
- Small group format (maximum of five apprentices)
- Full K9 Odyssey Gear Package: Herm Sprenger Prong Collar, Duo Slip Leash, Long Line, Treat Pouch, Workbook, and T-shirt
- Certificate of Completion

Enrolment Details
- The next intake begins Winter 2025
- Limited to five apprentices per session
- A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot
- Remaining tuition balance is due before Week 2
